Why does Musik Matter? Music has a power that goes beyond words! Many research studies have confirmed that music has a special importance in enriching the development of children. Musical rhythm and patterns are the heart of communication. Children naturally relate to music and movement. With early exposure, we can generate learning through song, dance, play and performance. Enjoy these early years; they pass too quickly!
Class Descriptions:
Baby & Me Music (non-walkers)
From birth, babies are able to enter into the rhythms and melodies of a conversation. Music invites them to develop listening skills as well as a sense of beat. Dancing, bouncing, rocking, singing, and massaging will awaken baby's natural curiosity about music. Learn to communicate with your baby in a whole new way!
Toddler Music (walking - 2yrs)
Toddlers need to move and this class fosters movement through music. Toddlers will enhance fine and gross motor skills through finger games, circle songs, and lots of creative movement! Tap, clap and dance with rhythm sticks, jingles, rattles, scarves, bubbles and drums. Parents learn and play along!
Music for 2's & 3's
Through song and dance, children will learn to freely express themselves! Musical play includes focused listening, singing, exploring instruments, creative movement and storytelling with the body.
This type of play progresses the development of the young child. Dancing through bubbles or under a parachute, this class is perfect for little performers (and their parents)!
Musical/Literacy: (3 - 5yrs)
A fun-filled class that teaches children the basic literacy skills they need to be successful in school. Pre-literacy tools such as rhyming, sequencing, storytelling & rhythm will be included in each & every class!
Sing & Sign: (baby - 5yrs) Learn to sign your favorite songs! Signing boosts children's language skills & intellectual development!
Big Kids Music (5 - 7yrs) Learn to sign your favorite songs! Signing boosts children's language skills & intellectual development. What better way to enhance this great language than through music. This class has been especially designed for your "not-so-little-not-so-big" one!
There will still be music & singing-only with a kick!
The focus of this class will be advanced developmental progression.
We will use hoops, bean bags, balls & more to teach impulse control, listening skills, coordination, teamwork, abstract thinking, literacy skills & more!
