Training MusikMatters is a Montessori-based program that strives to meet the developmental needs of young children as they grow. In a preschool or day care setting, MusikMatters uses music to stimulate the brain, evoke movement, foster physical coordination, develop listening skills (the foremost necessity for learning), and increase social awareness. The primary goal of introducing the MusikMatters program into preschools/daycare centers is to provide a program that educates both students and teachers. MusikMatters takes a holistic approach that will enable teachers/providers to enhance their current curricula by linking activities from MusikMatters that will develop the artistic nature of their children. In each of Miss Kim's classes, teachers and their students will enjoy parachute play, bubble catching and plenty of singing and dancing. Kim Buckner is a certified Muiskgarten Instructor, a certified KY Early Childhood Trainer, a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children(NAEYC), the Kentucky Association for the Early Childhood Education (KAEYC), and Owner of MusikMatters - rhythm and song for little people. Currently MusikMatters provides services for The Family Care Center of Lexington, The Child Care Council of KY, The Visually Impaired Preschool, The Richmond Arts Council, and The Lexington Children's Museum. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call us. MusikMatters truly appreciates your support and we are looking forward to serving you and your children!
